Barrick Gold (TSE:ABX) has released an update.
Barrick Gold Corporation has announced that its Kibali mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa’s largest gold mine, is set to maintain its annual production of 750,000 ounces for 15 years or more, thanks to reserve replenishment, technological investments, and increased capacity. The mine’s advanced automation and reliance on renewable energy, which will reach 85% with new solar plants, underscore its status as a leader in efficiency and sustainability. Moreover, Barrick’s commitment to local economic development and biodiversity conservation is evident through substantial local investments and initiatives such as reintroducing white rhinos to the Garamba National Park.
