Barclays PLC has recently bought back and intends to cancel 3,782,997 of its ordinary shares, resulting in a new total of 14,570,623,161 ordinary shares with voting rights. This move follows a share buy-back program announced earlier in August, with a total of 154,266,192 shares repurchased to date at an average price of 222.4768p per share. The action reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to manage its capital effectively.
