Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.
Barclays PLC has recently bought back and intends to cancel 5,822,240 of its own shares, at prices ranging between 223.7500p and 228.2000p, as part of a share buy-back program that started on 5 August 2024. This acquisition on the London Stock Exchange is a move to reduce the issued share capital which, after cancellation, will consist of 14,649,642,295 ordinary shares. Since the buy-back program began, a total of 71,952,788 shares have been repurchased.
