Barclays Continues Share Buy-Back Program

Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.

Barclays PLC has recently bought back and intends to cancel 5,699,610 of its own shares, as part of a larger repurchase scheme announced earlier in August, with the aim of reducing its issued share capital. After the cancellation, the total number of Barclays’ ordinary shares with voting rights will stand at 14,667,060,411. This repurchase reflects a continued effort by Barclays to return value to shareholders, with over 54 million shares bought back at an average price since the program’s initiation.
