Ballard Power Systems has introduced its 9th generation FCmove-XD fuel cell engine at the 2024 ACT Expo, marking a significant advancement in fuel cell performance for heavy-duty vehicles. The new engine boasts industry-leading power densities, a scalable design for higher output, and is built to surpass one million miles of operation, offering enhanced efficiency and reduced costs. The FCmove-XD’s innovative features include a high-performance single stack, a 33% reduction in parts count for greater reliability, and an integrated power controller for improved engine operation.
