Balfour Beatty has secured a significant £363 million contract to upgrade the electricity network between Bramford and Twinstead, a project that promises to enhance the UK’s transition to Net Zero by reinforcing the power transmission infrastructure. The company plans to employ over 200 workers at the peak of construction, which includes the creation of apprenticeship and graduate positions. With a focus on reducing environmental impact, Balfour Beatty commits to a 10% biodiversity net gain and will collaborate with local conservationists to minimize disruption to wildlife.
