Azul S.A. Soars with Record Q1 Earnings

Azul SA (AZUL) has released an update.

Azul S.A., Brazil’s largest airline by cities and departures, reports a record-breaking first quarter in 2024 with a 37.4% year-over-year increase in EBITDA, reaching R$1.4 billion and an EBITDA margin of 30.3%. The company saw operating revenues climb to R$4.7 billion, a 4.5% increase, driven by high demand, ancillary revenues, and robust business unit growth. Amidst these financial gains, Azul’s operational efficiency improved, marked by a 5.9% reduction in cost per available seat kilometer (CASK) due to lower fuel prices and a more fuel-efficient fleet.
