Auckland International Airport Limited (AIA) has requested a trading halt for its securities, including ordinary shares and various bonds, on both the NZX and ASX. This halt is in anticipation of an announcement regarding a significant capital raising effort that includes a NZ$1,200 million private placement to institutional investors, followed by a retail offer of up to NZ$200 million to existing shareholders. The private placement is fully underwritten and the shares are to be issued at a fixed price of NZ$6.95 each.
