Assertio Holdings Chairman Declines Reelection Amid Disputes

Assertio Therapeutics Inc (ASRT) has shared an announcement.

James L. Tyree, the Chairman of the Compensation Committee at Assertio Holdings, Inc., has opted not to seek reelection at the upcoming Annual Meeting of Stockholders. His decision stems from two points of contention: a disagreement over a potential exception to the Board’s mandatory retirement policy for the current Chair, Peter D. Staple, and the Board’s inaction on his proposal to raise the retirement age from 72 to 75. Tyree has been given the chance to publicly agree or dispute the Company’s account of these events.
