Ashoka WhiteOak Trust Outperforms MSCI EM Index

Ashoka Whiteoak Emerging Markets Trust Plc (GB:AWEM) has released an update.

Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust Plc reported a NAV total return of 13.0% since inception, surpassing the benchmark MSCI EM index by 4.55%. In May 2024 alone, despite a slight 0.8% decline in NAV, the company maintained outperformance against the benchmark. Key contributors to the performance included CIE. Fin Richemont, Awfis Space Solutions, and Tencent Music Entertainment, while Samsung Electronics and PT Bank Central Asia were among the detractors.
