Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust plc has reported a NAV total return of 14.0% since inception, surpassing its benchmark, MSCI EM, by 429 basis points as of April 30, 2024. The Trust’s performance in April alone saw a 2.2% increase in NAV, outperforming the benchmark by 58bps, led by strong contributions from DOMS Industries, Hong Kong Exchanges, and Anglo American. Despite global market fluctuations, the Trust’s focus on small and mid-cap stock selection has been a significant factor in its outperformance.
