Anaergia Inc. has announced a partnership with the City of Riverside, California, to upgrade a wastewater treatment plant with technology that converts waste to renewable natural gas (RNG), in a deal worth C$13 million. The initiative aligns with Riverside’s strategy for environmental sustainability and compliance with California’s organic waste recycling legislation, and is expected to be partly funded by state and federal incentives.
