Altona Energy (GB:REE) has released an update.
Altona Rare Earths PLC, a company engaged in the exploration and development of critical raw materials in Africa, has announced the appointment of David Catterall, a geologist with extensive experience, as a consultant for its Sesana copper-silver project in Botswana. Catterall’s expertise, particularly in the Kalahari Copper Belt, is expected to significantly benefit Altona’s exploration program, especially as copper demand surges due to the green energy transition. The company, which is already developing a major Rare Earths project in Mozambique, is expanding its portfolio by acquiring additional critical raw material projects, including copper.
