Alstom SA (FR:ALO) has released an update.
Alstom SA has secured a contract of up to €2.8 billion with Hamburger Hochbahn for delivering up to 374 new metro trains with semi- and fully-automated capabilities, as well as a cutting-edge signalling system for Hamburg’s new U5 metro line. This deal promises to enhance passenger safety, increase transport efficiency, and support green mobility initiatives. Production starts in 2026 with the first delivery expected in 2028, marking a significant step towards Hamburg’s future in digital and sustainable urban transport.
