Alstom has announced the supply of fifteen additional new-generation metro trainsets, equipped with the Urbalis Fluence signalling and automated control system, to the Métropole Européenne de Lille for approximately 210 million euros. This order, which adds to a previous batch of 27 trains, aims to modernize the Lille metro network by replacing older trainsets and improving passenger experience with features like enhanced comfort, accessibility, and safety. The new metros will contribute to an all-new-generation fleet for line 1 and are designed to be environmentally friendly with improved energy efficiency.
