Agnico Eagle (TSE:AEM) has released an update.
Agnico Eagle has announced an optimistic life of mine plan for its Detour Lake operation, which includes a new underground mining project and mill optimization, aiming to increase annual gold production to one million ounces by 2030. The plan also estimates a substantial increase in total gold production and an extension of the mine’s life to 2054, with significant potential for further exploration and resource expansion. The company is investing $100 million over the next three years for project development and exploration to de-risk and advance the project.
