Afentra (GB:AET) has released an update.
Afentra plc has secured a 45% stake in the onshore Angola KON 19 license, partnering with two local companies to explore the underexploited Kwanza basin with potential for rapid commercialization due to nearby infrastructure. The award, formalized with Angola’s national oil, gas, and biofuels agency, complements Afentra’s African portfolio, which includes interests in both onshore and offshore blocks in Angola and Somaliland. The company’s CEO, Paul McDade, expressed enthusiasm for the strategic enhancement this license provides and anticipates updating the market on their onshore strategy.
