51Talk Online Education Group has announced the appointment of Mr. Jimmy Lai as an independent director and chairman of several committees, following the resignation of Mr. Shengwen (Roy) Rong for personal reasons. With a rich background including previous CFO roles at various companies and experience as an independent director on other NYSE-listed companies, Mr. Lai is poised to contribute significantly to 51Talk’s board. The Company expressed gratitude to Mr. Rong for his service and welcomed Mr. Lai, anticipating continued success with his expertise.
