American Tower (AMT) stock is up today following the release of the telecom tower operator’s latest earnings report. AMT reported Q4 2024 earnings per share of $2.62, beating Wall Street’s estimate of $1.75. It also represents a 1,355.6 % increase year-over-year compared to 18 cents.
Adding to this is American Tower’s revenue of $2.55 billion for the quarter. That’s another beat next to analysts’ revenue estimate of $2.51 billion while also increasing 3.7% from the $2.79 billion reported in Q4 2023.
American Tower’s earnings for the full year of 2024 include EPS of $ 4.82 alongside revenue of $10.13 billion. Its EPS increased 51.6% while revenue jumped 1.1% compared to the full year of 2023. CEO Steven Vondran attributed this success to its “mid-band deployments in the U.S. and Europe, 4G densification and early 5G upgrades in emerging markets, and another exceptional year of leasing at CoreSite.”
AMT Stock 2025 Guidance
American Tower also provides guidance for 2025 in its latest earnings report. The company expects total property revenue to range from $9.92 billion to $10.07 billion while AFFO per share ranges from $10.31 to $10.50.
AMT stock is getting a slight 0.39% boost alongside its Q4 earnings report. That builds on its 4.68% increase year-to-date and its 5.74% rally over the last year. The timid response suggests shareholders expected more from the company.
