Vision Marine Technologies (VMAR) – Vision Marine Technologies designs and manufactures outboard powertrain systems. It offers fully electric outboard motor engines to solve water pollution issues. VMAR released its Q1 FY25 results yesterday and cautioned of going concern uncertainty as the company continues to report a deficit on its balance sheet.
The company’s Q1 revenue fell drastically to C$142,411 in the quarter from C$986,392 in the year-ago period, while also turning a loss. VMAR also even announced the sale of common stock and warrants to institutional investors at $1.25 per share to raise roughly $5.8 million in gross proceeds. The capital will be used for general corporate and working capital requirements. Meanwhile, on January 10, VMAR announced that it secured over $11.7 million through an at-the-market offering to enable strategic acquisitions, technological advancements, and other uses. VMAR stock skyrocketed over 41% on the news that day.
Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings (BAER) – Bridger Aerospace designs and manufactures purpose-built Aerial Firefighting aircraft, air attack jets, and Multi-Mission Aircraft (MMA). The company’s aircraft boast advanced imaging systems that provide real-time wildfire imagery and video to frontline firefighters, enhancing their tactical decision-making. BAER offers its services to federal and state government agencies across the U.S.
BAER’s Dollar Volume stood at $169.67 million on January 13, with its stock price remaining nearly flat. The company has come into focus currently because of deploying the Super Scooper Aircraft in California to aid in controlling the unprecedented wildfires. The aircraft was deployed on receipt of a Task Order from the U.S. Forest Service at the request of the State of California. BAER shares have been trending higher lately owing to the wildfires, gaining over 49% in the past five trading sessions.
