HSBC Progresses with Share Buy-back Program

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has reported the purchase of 2.3 million of its own ordinary shares for cancellation, as part of a share buy-back program announced previously on May 7, 2024. The transaction, conducted off-market through Morgan Stanley, involved shares bought at a price range between HK$65.90 and HK$66.95, with a total buy-back spending amounting to approximately US$2.979 billion since the program’s commencement. Following the repurchase, HSBC’s issued share capital consists of 18,518,135,661 ordinary shares with voting rights.
