HSBC Progresses with Multi-Million Share Buy-Back

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has continued its share buy-back program, purchasing a total of 9,550,611 shares for cancellation on September 24, 2024, at various prices on UK and Hong Kong exchanges. Since the start of the buy-back on August 1, 2024, HSBC has repurchased over 225 million shares, costing around US$1.93 billion. The cancellation of these shares will adjust the total issued ordinary share capital of HSBC, impacting shareholders’ voting rights.
